These thermal pics are quite cool to see. Would be interesting to see the difference between 4 of the same tubes like Philips 840, 2 on HF and 2 on SS to see if there is any temperature change between the 2 sets of tubes on 2 different gears after a hour running etc.

The lamps in the batten fitting is a fair bit cooler.

Take your camera into a crowd of people and catch how many fart lol … seriously tho good pics. I guess the Louvre acts as a heat sink in some way?

A heat sink would lower temps, the lamps in that fitting is warmer due to the reduced airflow around the tubes.
