Interesting information John, I knew about the Ampera’s, but not the Lumas!, although I did mention here some time ago about wires I’d seen on them at Trafford.

yep these are only a few years old, sox lanterns like z9538 with grp canopy have failed before, that heavy leak transformer. i seen one here years ago. it snapped off where the round mounting hole was on the canopy. i have also heard of ma's doing this, but these lanterns had been in service excess of 20 years not a couple.

This was a couple of years ago. The Philips Iridium 2 was also issued with a safety notice from HE
