WRTL/Indal Stela Installation Still In Use

Just spotted while dropping my husband off at Cranfield University for an interview...they still appear to be using a good number of these first generation LED lanterns around their campus.

I should really swing by after dark at some point so I can get some photos to show how far things have moved forward in the world of LED streetlighting in the last few years.

Funny to notice these given I was making comparisons between them and the Halophane V-Max (have both lanterns in question in my collection now) only a day or so back. Didn't realise there were any still in service given most of the first generation LED lanterns didn't seem to enjoy a particularly long service life.

When do these date from? Sure I recall the first ones popping up just after I started visiting a friend here, which would have been 2003/4 I'd think
