think the small ones classed as an 89mm envalope lamp, the big ones what i call the large envalope 150w which is the same size as the old 200w tungsten. the large 150 lamps were used in industrial enamel reflector lights and were used in all tungsten street light lanterns from the 1950's 60's and early 70's era. the large envlalope lamps in both 150 and 200w stopped being made around 1991 and only the 89mm size carried on and not long after than think all 150 and 200w stopped production alltogether

in regards to proper crompton, basically look out for the name CROMPTON PARKINSON LAMPS northampton and the Hawker sidderley name on the packet, they owned crompton at one time when they made quality lamps, have no idea who owns crompton today, prob china !
