Multiplex 60w dual-filament lamp from the 1930's
I recently won this wonderful old lamp on Ebay - it shares quite a few similarities with my "Duofil" and "Doto" lamps, which also date from the around the same time period and feature two filaments. It seems these kinds of lamps were a fad throughout the '20s and '30s - I imagine said fad died out due to a mixture of high production costs and the so-called "lamp cartels" trying to push 1000 hour lamps for consumer use...

What a strange thing.... I assume a special lampholder is required, as the carton seems to indicate 3 contacts on the lamp cap?
