Osram 60w Fireglow lamp with 2 pin base Apparently these were produced for a very old model of electric fire called the Berry "Magicoal". They already stopped production in the 70s-80s making these lamps really quite rare, I'm very glad to have found an example. The reason a 2 pin lamp was used was so that the fire manufacturer, Berry, could probably charge exorbitant "manufacturer specific" prices for "official spares"... Also note the cheesy tagline on the packaging!

I wonder how easy it would have been to change the fire lamp holder for a normal B22 holder

We had a Berry Magicoal fire, 60s vintage, which used BC-3 lamps. I never did get to see one of those strange 2-pin lamps in the flesh.
