Crompton Jewel 40w lacquered GLS lamps
2 more nice lamps I recently obtained in a trade with Keiron, these are very nice - but sadly as with all of these I've seen the years have begun to take their toll on the lacquer despite them being NOS. If I remember correctly, these were produced in 3 colours in both 40w and 60w - I believe I have all 3 now (some years ago I found a turquoise version as well).

These do look very nice lit up but the lacquer always seems to crack, I think it is humidity getting to them in storage that does it Confused

They are interesting with the cracked lacquer when lit - makes for an interesting pattern! Razz

Always liked the lacquered coloured lamps more than the solid colour ones, just sparkle more and look nicer

Yeah they still haven't lost their awesome effect despite the cracked lacquer!

That is why I keep my Crompton harlequin green one underneath my bed or my bedside drawer as I can trust the environment enough to not cause the cracking of the lacquer
