Japanese(?) blue glass tubular filament lamp

This rather lovely old lamp (proper blue glass, no lacquer!) came to me in a recent Ebay lot. During the 1930's and 1940's it seems quite a number of these lamps were imported into the UK (from Japan?) with only a voltage marking and a "Foreign" stamp on the glass (which this lamp also has) and were sold at Woolworths, among other stores. Somewhere I have a virtually identical version of this lamp with a standard pearl finish.
