Philips 6w TUV lamp Have not tried this yet. I was lucky to get this off of Ebay recently, for quite cheap, from a seller who had cleared out an old science lab at a boys' school near Oxford! The reason I have not tried this yet is because I cannot find a suitable glass to put over the lamp; these kick out a fair amount of UV!

I have 2 of these and in the same boat looking for a tall enough glass to fit over them to light them yes the give a lot of UVC which can damage your eyes and skin, and you can smell the ozone from them when lit,

It sounds so funny... You really so afraid UV radiation from these lamps? I guess the piece of window glass is enough to protect your eyes from the evil UV Wink

Yes any glass will block the UV radiation, (Soda Lime or Borosilicate Glass) the only thing which will allow UV to pass though is Quartz,
