2 vintage desk lamps saved from the lamp bin

After pulling up at one of my local lamp bins this morning, I noticed this massive cardboard box full of desk lamps, all of which had passed their most recent PAT tests. They had probably been thrown out of a university/college (I live in Cambridge...) or an office. After rooting around a bit, I pulled 2 older fittings out. It turns out they are indeed from the 1960s, 70s or 80s and are quite sought after. After fitting them with proper lamps (not the crappy CFLs they had in them!) and giving them an inspection and thorough cleaning, they are both ready to see more years of service in my house! Better that than selling them as "salvaged rare retro vintage desk lamp" for an exorbitant price on Ebay!!
