125w Mercury "SL" type lamp
Here's something rather stupid I made when I was bored, using the remains of an EOL Philips SL (or a rebranded Osram Compacta in this case) and a NOS mercury lamp which had broken outer glass... I simply bonded the two together, and voila, this abomination was born! I've yet to even attempt lighting it but I suppose I'll do that soon.

Be interesting to see how long it takes the plastic base to melt....

And how long it takes for the molybdenum foils seals to oxidize.
