Main road SOX still going strong
Today I took a trip into St. Albans and back. I saw not one, not two but three large uninterrupted stretches of Philips MA lanterns - something quite amazing these days. Pictured here is part of the stretch on the A1 near South Mimms (London), with a couple of dayburners.

This is a default vision of British street lighting Cool, this is the first thing, (visually), that I think of when anyone mentions street lighting!, long lanterns on long outreach arms! Very Happy

Totally agree - such installations used to be everywhere, pity we are down to so few now. Sad
