I used to have one of these around 2013 however mine was made by MiniSun and have a different ballast shape. It came with a Daylight lamp. I've also seen these marketed as SAD lamps however mine was just used a normal light.

Oooo that is pretty interesting! I have a feeling the ballast will just be an instant start CFL type job?

Yep, unfortunately the start up is a bit boring.

Yeah, probably only designed to last the life of the lamp (or less) too

.......with lamp life severely curtailed by the cold starts? Sad
