Classic oldie!, I have the diffused version of this, the MBT, they were such a simple but clever idea, and saved bulky control gear, ideal for the older street lighting that would use GLS originally Cool

What a beautiful clear ML lamp! Until I saw this, I never knew that Philips made the ML with uncoated glass.

Very nice lamp, Olav! But what is the unusual twisted wire coiled on the top electrode wire? Is this a zirconium getter?
