After a very long and gruelling restoration, which involved reshaping its extremely battered canopy, the results came out better than i thought they would.
The lantern originally stood somewhere in Scotland. Initially upon receiving the lantern, it was extremely dirty and corroded in places, the canopy was bent and battered, the refractor ring assembly was missing, and the lantern showed signs of a very crude conversion from something to SOX. The lamp holder bridge is a much later pressed type seen with 80's post tops onwards, whereas this lantern, dating from the 60's, should have a cast aluminium bridge. Despite this oddity, I still made the best of it.
Now running MBF lamps, its a much more representable lantern from my childhood.
