WRTL 2040
Acquired into the collection courtesy of Danny is this very tidy, and seemingly rare version of the WRTL 2040. The 2000 range offered by WRTL had many different designs, and with that many different options too, but for some reason anything aside from a 2015 and 2000 is seldom spotted.
Upon arrival, the electronic ballast had failed. From the way it was wired in made me wonder if it was the original. It was immediately ripped out, and control gear from a scrap 2600 fitted in its place. One OCD wiring job later, and a bit of power, away the lantern goes once again. All this needs is a canopy respray, and a bowl polish, and its another lantern fit for the roads once again.

I still think these look like the love child of a 2015 and a K-Lux
