the very last GEC fittings were badged as Osrams, and later still siemens electrical. I had a late osram 90 watt sox gear in head, that had a Osram ballast and a philips ignitor ! The true GEC versions ended around 1988

From memory the glass fibre white versions came out around 1981, prior to that both the 35 and 55 watt versions had the die cast aluminium canopy, 1973 onwards models had the one part poly or acrylic bowl, pre 73 had the perspex bowls with stick on refractor panes retained in an aluminium bowl ring

Cool lantern! Not sure if Siemens even still make any lighting? I know that they were continuing the vintage S Fluorescent fittings well in to the mid 90s badges Siemens with Siemens HF ballasts

I've got a NOS Osram version of this, complete with original Osram Supersox lamp and wall bracket. it's even in it's original box One of my favorite GEC lantern designs!
