Lovely fitting S##t Tubes LOL, need some old Atlas or Thorn.
Yeah they are shit I will admit, but I don't have any Thorns or Atlas's in 13w, so these will have to do for now.
again, my 8 watt set up under my stereo with the 8 watt BLI chokes have the same rubber lamp holders, i made it out of some 4 watt EXD fittings that had three 4 watt tubes in them, the chokes ran 4,6 and 8 watt tubes

philips TL 13 on CP lighting are less than £2 each. I bet that is silly bright with 3 tubes going

3 tube 13w Thorn Escorts were used in the tunnel at Liverpool Lime street station in the 80s. Sometimes the train would stop right near one with a missing diffuser, it would have been possible to slide down the window in the door and reach out and help yourself to a tube or 3. Of course I never did!

I'd of been tempted lol

Cool fitting Dave be interesting to see how long these tubes last! What fittings do they use now rob?
I was a nipper back then out with my parents Dan, they would want to know how I had suddenly come by a fluorescent tube! I don't know Kev, haven't used a train on that line since the 1998. I think they were some kind of 2D fittings then.

Never seen anything like this before!!!
They don't have any lights as in the tunnel now.
Was never sure why that tunnel did have lights, most train tunnels I know of don't other than a section of Merserail underground though again not been on that since the late 90s. They wouldn't have been bright enough for maintenance work.
