Just been in Wickes across the road from work and noticed the state of the twin 5 foot battens!, I originally thought they were HF, but the amount of glowing cathodes at the ends of the tubes tells me their SS, pretty poor state to leave them in though, theres roughly about 25 odd like this!

It’s epic that your wicks even still have FL even if it is neglected.

Our Morrisons here change all their fluorescent to LED retro fit tubes about 6 years ago, then in the evening after 6 they would turn every other 2 of in the rows, with all back on after 8 in the morning. Now they have just permanently left of every other 2 all day!, store had dark patches although you can still see pretty well!, but surely the energy cost isn’t that bad that they have to start shutting half the LED off too??

All the Lidl stores have disabled half of their Lighting to, in the Lidl near my girlfriend‘s place they have removed the Philips LED T5 tubes Pretty pathetic like really when they have a massive great chiller units there with huge three-phase compressors in pulling God knows how many kilowatts of power!

That's happened at the Lidl here too. Half of their T5 fittings have been disabled which have Philips Retrofit tubes in anyway. The last time I went, the only ones which were fluorescent were the EM ones.

T5 all lighting, only FL tubes now left in the EM ones. T5s were 2013 barely run in before LED tubed

About right and lidl IIRC use all Philips tracks and fittings

The original hanging Philips t8 track systems disappeared from all their stores quickly enough for the current T5s ceiling mounted, shame could have just LED tubed the T8s if waited afew more years

Yeh agree but I’m pretty sure the new T5 track systems were Philips too.
