Transtar electronic start magnetic ballast
quite a big ballast, it does not start like the vivatronics (where you hear it spring to life) more like a pulse starter.. quick spot of glow at the cathodes, then we are lit. not sure how these cope at EOL, currently fitted in a wickes batten.
It starts T12 tubes fine

Tidy ballast that!

it, with a GE hungary Kolorite comes on at 2am every morning to wake me for work, stays on for a few hours after I am long into work too! I found these Hungary GE's are decent enough tubes, but even though they are not shielded, they don't really band up so well

The Electronic-Start ballast of Shaingout actially had a cylindrical place for Arlen EFS600 pulsestarter.

The EFS was in one of the versions of the 105W ballast. The 36/40 electronic start ones had it potted in the case of a capacitor didnt they ?

See here how the Shaingout Electronic-Start behaves with EOL 36W T8: This is exactly the same behaveior of Arlen Pulsestarters.
The cylinder in the Electronic-Start, isn't a capacitor, but a case for the EFS600 starter, exactly like the 105W ballast.
