EOL Circular T5 22W 4100K colour lamp

This lamp was the OEM lamp at her bathroom, and it reached EOL. The ballast don't have electrode fusing mechanism, so it continued to run this lamp to vacuum loss and you can see the browning of the plastic base of the lamp as the result.
I plan to buy with my mother several Eurolux 22W T5 circular lamps from Illumina website.

Why is the base so twisted round?

I think because the lamp has been driven by the ballast to vacuum loss, so the ends overheated and melted the base.
