very lucky find, i have a couple used 140's in 1950's sodium lanterns
Holy smokes, thats mint!!
I seem to remember him saying its NOS, certainly looks it anyway. Im amazed by just how much sodium is used in these.

you may have trouble striking it, i was given a new old stock inner tube for one of these, was dead, till i tried it on a set of 250 son gear, after 5 min of dim flickering, it fired up rarther rapidly ! left it burning 24 hours then on a 140 leak tranny, works first go every time now

Good old 250W SON gear

Flipping hell if I knew you had this I would of asked to see this lit when I came down !

I don't think its ever been lit, it'll need a day or so of running just so it don't get messed up.
