Does anyone know why the caps are identical on these 2 tubes? the sylvaina i was told dates from 1983 and is new, the atlas would be around 1975 i'm guessing, both have 70's style atlas caps

The Sylvania looks like March 1983 and the Atlas looks like November 1974

Nice dating skills there vicar! They seemed to all share lamp caps for some reason. I still don't know why the large paxalin was used for 8 foots only? I know the tubes are completely different animals the atlas is far superior

I wonder if large paxalin was used on 8foots cos if you look at some modern GB GE 8foots, if stood up they seem to put pressure on the aluminium warping it inwards so I wonder if the large paxalin was for extra stregnth yo stop that?
