Ha ha bet that looks awsome looking from the outside through that massive round window old school porcalin ceiling rose and besabox and all.

lol, yes old school installation up my dads loft, no you carnt see the fittings out the round window, its got obscured glass in it

It's a good idea, got a reasonable sized loft here, should press some of the fittings I have into service up there. Currently there is just one twin 6ft B&Q fitting lash up in my loft.

this loft is HUGE, you'd fit 3 cars up here if there was access lol
RobTDCI   [13 Sep, 2015 at 11:50 PM]
The main problem with my loft is that its an old house built in the late 1920s and the original roof was lined with some kind of powdery cement. The roof has been re-done to modern standards but the dust and crap from the old roof is still there which makes it a place you avoid other than to store things or maintain the plumbing that is up there.

carnt you fit tongue and groove match boarding over it by nailing to the rafters covering up the crud? I used this coveing thermolite blocks up my roof where i have some lights

Yeh I know of a roof space similar to what rob is talking about don't see why you couldn't board on top of it!?
RobTDCI   [14 Sep, 2015 at 12:02 AM]
Yeah would be a good, I keep seeing those boards and thinking I should do that. Go some time on my hands over the next few weeks so may be worth considering.

i wouldn't even get an 8' fitting in my loft as the side of the roof is pitched too
