Was the clipluve attachment meant for the AA3 or was it an extra? Shocked

the atlas atlantic was never designed to take clipluve at all, as the lampholders come straight down taking up the width of the coverplate only. This was a special made for the army, as they must have asked BLI if they could make a 8 foot quickstart fitting twin that the clip luve would fit onto, hence this fitting as they never made such a fitting to the public

Wow. That is something special. No expense spared in the old days, with specials made just for the army. Does that label on the end mention Super 8, by any chance?

Looks to me when I enlarge the picture that the label says 'Use ATLAS 'Super 8' 85w 8ft Tubes ' Lovely fitting!
