Yep these are actually quite a old fitting now

they didnt really grab my attention till i saw the old srs ballast in them, again, at an other ex military site, they must of liked SRS. I think these fittings are ugly persnonally,the pop pack looks far nicer, what were these sold as? what market were they designed for?
