These Philips XGC001 bulkheads a fucking Awsome these have capacitor start and simply do not go wrong! What a shame these were removed how many did you take out?

Thats one well used SOX lamp, these had bloody good seals in too, my dads one is 22 years old now, and never let a drop of water in.

Yeah these are probably my favourite 18w sox bulkhead of all the Philips ones I've got. The GEC id say is my least favourite. That sox lamp is looking very nicely worn up too!!!

thats a turnhout sox lamp its done well, pre 1994 i guess by the metal supports

I think this is probably the origional lamp, they where under a canopy and manualy switched, I think because of the run up time no one bothered to switch them on, they were installed in 91/92 i think.

Does anyone remember the Crompton 18W SOX bulkhead from the 80s, fairly sure it had a green/grey base and a totally clear polycarb cover, maybe part of the Church house range?
