Revo Diadem MBFU lantern
This is my restored Revo Diadem lantern mounted on a bracket on my shed/workshop. This has an 80w MBFU lamp installed. It comes in very handy as I often work outside if the weather permits. Has been resprayed with high temperature paint and had a new seal fitted to the slightly yellowed bowl. The bowl isn't in bad condition, I have seen them to be completely brown on some of these lanterns. A nice design of lantern.

So is this actually on all night use then or do you just have it on a switch and use it when you are working in there?
RobTDCI   [18 Aug, 2015 at 10:48 PM]
No I just fire it up when required, there is a waterproof switch just out of view to the left. I have thought of leaving it on all night the odd time, but I know the bloody woman next door will moan, she's good at that. I do have a Philips XWC 18w SOX lantern at the front of the house which is on dusk to dawn.

Rob after having trouble with neighbours since the day I brought my farm I can advise a good method which generally works every time.... Leave your light on all night (just like I do mine) and when she starts giving you grief try using the word "Fuck" followed by "off" works a treat you could even add "you stupid winging old bitch" if you feel like it for extra effect!!! Wink

Nice bit of history there Rob Cool , I`m sure as long as it not directly in peoples windows at night, they can`t do anything about it?

Just be glad you don't live in Surrey, specifically in Waverley. The council here are an idiotic bunch of cunts. They'll allow a load of new, expensive homes or apartmants to be built, then try enforcing controls over homes / businesses that have been there for years. The local Homebase store has just been ordered to turn off their illuminated sign as someone in the posh flats opposite has complained it shines in their window - despite them being a good 50m on the other side of the road and the sign lights only shining on the sign - the surrounding streetlights probably shine in their window rather than the sign. The Homebase store has been there now for 20 yrs, the flats have been there 5. I'd have thought they'd have a right to illuminate the sign, they were there first! Be glad you're not in Waverley.....

Get it on a dusk-dawn photocell and fcuk her!

Those type of people really bug me, its like people who decide to move near to somewhere like a pub that has been there decades and then complain to the council about the noise!
