Thorn Gamma 6
This one is going to need some work including a re-wire, good clean and repaint. It's been re ballasted with a Philips electronic 0-10v dimmable ballast at some point. I've Not been able to test it yet due to incomplete wiring. Shame that some hooligan has attacked the bowl with an air gun at some time.

Looks like a Leeolimich lantern. My (broken) P111 had the same ballast and SON-T.

Lol no surprises there then if it is Alan

Yes, Ebay. Would prefer it to be MBF and got it for conversion. Not sure how the bowl will bear up though.

Shame the gear has been butchered.

No surprises there then. That guy seems to sell anything with anything lashed into it and shit at packing!
RobTDCI   [05 May, 2016 at 11:28 PM]
The packaging wasn't too bad, I've had much worse. Not quite how I woud have done it. The lamp was installed with newspaper wrapped around it. I would have removed it and boxed it up separately.

My lantern was just loose in a box with a few bits of cardboard for packaging lol. I had a fish pond filter just loose in a huge box, it was ok like but it was rolling about in there. I sent him a feedback which ended up gettin removed by eBay.

You must have had the luxury service my Evolo 2 had no packing at all. I mean it was literally plonked in an empty box had an address label and a few bits a sticky tape stuck to it a sent off on its journey.

Yep lol probably my worst experience ever. It's put me off buying stuff that's for sure

Was your lantern smashed Dan?
Danny   [06 May, 2016 at 08:33 AM]
No amazingly

I seem to have been lucky then (time I had some luck after the previous 12 months)! The ballast & the lamp work, though I'm not expecting to re-use the ballast in this lantern. All stripped down for restoration now.

So for he's been the only problem I've had. Never had any trouble with other sellers lantenrs
