It's on its 3rd lamp. The first one I think did around 5 years. The 2nd one was a dodgy Osram like Rich has where the outer envelope blackened after 12 months and became really dull. This one seems OK so far though. This pic here was taken when it had the crap lamp in it.

5 years is great for a lamp what brand lamp was that?

I think it was Philips. It hadn't failed completely, just the light output had depreciated.

Whats lamp No 3 Rob?, its a shame Philips didn`t do the PSG in 18watt Sad , this still looks great where it is, I just hope your replacements will be better than mine were!

I think the replacement was also Philips Rich

^^only just seen your comment there rich! They are not squares for iPhone users lol they are symbols or smilies! Looks like Philips still make these fittings!!!! Surprised
