Looks like my stash room AC is fucked then.
Small AC unit in my room has not been working properly for a few months now. Just after Christmas my mate came over and topped it up with refrigerant and it worked again for a couple weeks but then I got the same fault code low on gas.
We put some tracer in it tonight and found the compressor has rusted out under the bottom. This is totalled hope to get a new unit in in the next couple weeks plus side is I have a 6.5kw Toshiba I am going to replace it with. The old one my mate reckons the compressor has rusted right through

Yes sadly that looks somewhat fucked. Was the unit in constant contact with damp ground? I'm surprised to see the compressor so rusty.

Scrap unfortunately, though you could probably reuse the coil with a diesel water heater, I did that!

No it wasn’t vicar but my mate says the compressor sweats and it’s wrapped in insulation which remains wet and right from day one they are in a lose situation.
