Unusual twin Fluorescent on the Advanced Passenger train prototype
|
Another of the Fluorescent lights on the Advanced Passenger train prototype that is now a static exhibit at Crewe. It was built 1979. Looks like it was hand made. I couldn't see any markings on the tubes. Not sure what the purpose of this area of the train would have been, it was just before the driving cab and would not be an area that passengers would normally have access to. Hence why it's a all a bit rough. The passenger accomodation has recessed fluorescent lighting and spotlights over the seating and still looks very nice today, 40 years on!
