Light Ideas Circline 40w
Another Argos/Woolies classic here, this is dated 1980 with resistive ballast. Almost everyone's Nan had one of these or similar in the living room and they didn't really like it but it was good for knitting or reading by! Put it to practical use recently in the hall when shampooing the carpet and needed the extra light. I quite like the way the aluminum back serves as a gear tray and also a large heat sink for the resistive ballast.

Interestingly the BC plug is fitted in the same white bracket used on the linear light ideas fittings.

In what form is the resistive ballast?
