Restored Mazda Netaline

I didn't used to like these at all and while they still are not my favourite, they have grown on me recently. I got this summer 2017, it was filthy, corroded and obviously installed in a kitchen for many years. Been restored and not come up too bad.

Nice. I'm still after one of these for the collection. Missed out on a couple now on eBay, one only sold for about Â£5 Sad

I have 2 of these an ealier 1960s green coloured one complete with asbestos resistor yummy Smile

and a later white thorn? one which has a diffrent resistor that I dont think is made from asbestos

I am planning on fitting one to my room, but I cant for the life of me figure out how the little Box at the ceiling rose end of the rod stays attached to the rod/ceiling?

There may just be enough space for an HF ballast, the resistive ballast does get extremely hot.
