LED Filament A60 Coloured
Following the recent comments about LED Filament coloured lamps (usually based on standard 2700K warm white filaments with coloured bulbs), here is a photo from my lab at work of an alternative design - using clear bulbs and coloured LED filaments. Aside from the green which has green chips on the LED filaments and the UV blacklight at far right which has approx 400nm LED chips, all the others have royal blue 450nm chips and different fluorescent phosphor coatings on the filaments. These deliver considerably brighter output for the same power consumption (or same light output with lower power consumption, and the colours are also rather more saturated. Since the glare is quite intense, they may only be marketed in satin white bulbs, which give a more similar lighted appearance to ordinary coloured GLS.

They look very nice! I may have to get some to play with. They certainly do give off a lot more and a much deeper coloured light. I'm still not sure they "look" as nice in a festoon with the clear outers though. A pearl finish should look fine though.
Any thoughts about those BELL coloured filament lamps that CP Lighting sell?

Filament tech is still in an exciting early form for me Cool , it’s going to be interesting to see where’s it is in the next 10/20 years? Very Happy

I do like coloured filament LED lamps! Got a red, green and blue example from China on ebay a couple of years ago and they are nice vivid colours. Will have to dig out the pic I took.
