GPO Trough

Saved this cute little trough fitting from a BT exchange where it had been removed from a toilet. I've never seen a 2' trough before! This fitting has a 20w choke and quickstart unit.
Having been in a toilet it has probably only ever done low hours. The tube was a 1978 Philips standard white.

Very nice but the first time I've heard 'cute' applied to a fluorescent light! Any ideas on the date of the fitting?

I think 'cute' is the perfect description for that. No expense spared back in the old days of the GPO: a GPO spec fitting unique to them just for the bogs.
