Yes but I need to do a proper job of the transformer wiring because as you can see its a bit if a mess

That choke does look in perfect shape - as Kev said like new Smile
How does the transformer work? Is it just there as a cathode heater? (which would basically make this like rapid-start over here)?
Or does it give a high voltage to fire up the lamp?

Its just a standard transformer with two 10v windings. One across each fillament. When the tube strikes it essentially shorts out the transformer reducing the heater current significantly.
