Cool old sub! I am due to do my sub station training corse soon!
Oh you lucky bugger. I'd love a job going round these!

I'll just be fixing lights heaters and dehumidifiers in them luckily

You can`t always trust them though, in 2011 at Kissimmee USA, a female contractor, Beverly Armstrong was adjusting a newly fitted transformer, that the utility company had had a lot of trouble with, Beverly was 48 and a fully competent transformer engineer, but within seconds of an adjustment the transformer exploded, and as Beverly had the load tap door open, the blast threw her 20 feet backwards, covering her in mineral oil, and setting her on fire, she never had a chance! RIP Bev

Well that's not a nice way to go that's for sure

Yeah, it was a fault of the transformer at build, it had been noted of the awful noise it was making as it changed taps at the factory, it should have never gone into service, poor Beverly got the end result of this whilst trying to rectify it out in the field!
