2000w Iwasaki Multi-Metal MT2000B-BH-L: Full Power
1 x 2000w Iwasaki EYE quartz metal halide lamp at full power.
This is the brightest lamp in my collection and is actually quite a pleasant light source with a nice colour.
The arcstream has the typical reverse arc bow that is common on the high wattage lamps.
Note the interestingly shaped halide deposits which have formed at the bottom at either end of the arc tube.

I suppose the halide deposits have gone to the coldest part of the Arc tube? I guess?

This lamp seems to have sodium-scandium. So how the arc looks like that, as if it is wall stabilized?

Also: There are no heat reflective coatings at the ends of the arctube despite sodium and scandium are used. Why?

I’d say with an arc that probably runs as hot as this does, it doesn’t need any zinc oxide coating? Cool
