1000w Cosmedico UV Tanning Lamp: Full Power.
1 x 1000w Cosmedico UV-B tanning lamp at full power.
Quite an interesting arc. Nice and fat with some interesting colours on display as you would expect as this has quite an interesting fill such as iron, cobalt, thallium and thulium.

Fun fact, Thulium is the only element that I can actually remember the atomic number of... for reasons you might be able to guess :)

I would be interested what is the purpose of the thallium and the thulium here, as they are usually aren't used in UV MH lamps.

Something to do with controlling the vapour pressure.

BTW: Where is all of the liquid halides?
Also: The plasma is very diffused, similar to tin plasma.

The main halides in this are iron and cobalt iirc.

I didn't know that iron or cobalt have diffused plasma like tin.
