Interesting to note that the arc does not bow upwards.
Maybe the temperature inside the lamp is so uniform that no convective currents can form?

The fact that the arc doesn`t bow upwards is down to Japanese quality I bet Very Happy

I've never seen an arc not bowing upward in such an arctube design.
If I remember correct, the halides chemistry is dysprosium, caesium and yttrium.
There is no thallium, so the CRI rises considerably at the expense of lumen efficacy.

It is also possible that the mercury pressure is lower, so the arc don't bowing upward.
