I have no information but I don't sure. I think that burning position is classical -- from vertical (base up) to horizontal.

The arctube design looks very similar to some Megamen CFLs (Two U tubes with an under U bend connecting them). I expected that the burning position is the same base-up to horizontal.
But the efficiency would suffer, as one of the tubes absorbs the light of the other tube, due to sodium self-absorption..
