Parmar QA126 8ft 125w Starterless Ballast

A recent eBay purchase, this pair of BNOS Parmar 8ft 125w SRS(?) ballasts. These will be going in a Courtney Pope fixture from circa 1965 that was previously 8ft 85w Quickstart geared. Note the starter in the picture for size reference, these things are massive!

Date code appears to be J94, stamped on the top. Would this be September or October 1994?

Nice! Yes, these are SRS, as defined by the series capacitor.

Not sure they look older but I suppose they could be seeing as 1994 was 25 years ago lol look like Work horses!

I thought exactly the same Kev, but then I also think they would have looked old even in 1994? I've wired them into the Courtney Pope today, they work very well, starting both used and unused 125w tubes with ease even without the earthed cover fitted!
