White vs Plus White I've never seen a side-by-side comparison of White and Plus White, so here's one I made earlier. According to the fluorescent colours chart on Lamptech, PW is colour 736 whereas White is 535, so PW has a higher CRI and is very slightly cooler. The PW does have noticeably higher red content and shows a richer yellow swirly line when photographed. The picture is best viewed full size on a decent quality screen. I can see the colour difference quite clearly on my phone which has a decent IPS screen, but I can hardly tell on my crappy TNS laptop screen, so if your monitor is a bit rubbish, you may not see the slight colour difference in the picture very well.

The THORN EMI tube is this one and yes it has one of them weird late style etches. Being branded with EMI though, I would have thought it won't be that late? Might have to stick a pic on Facebook and see if anyone can shed some light on it

You can see the greenish tint on the top lamp, urgh lol.
