Bits in a friend's fitting
Friend of mine over in liverpool has these pair of massive 4ft thorn fitting. Each one takes two 40W T12's.
No idea of the age of the fittings but they are lush.
Down the middle is all of the gear (2x everything in the picture) with the two tubes either side.
Big flat roof-mount type thing like you see with T5 grow systems.
I keep telling him i'll buy them but I dont think he wants to sell them. :-P
He's got a couple of omega tubes in it so i'm swapping him a pair of new triphosphors for them.

There will be a date code on that capacitor. Also what triphosphor tubes are you putting in it? They have to be T12 and antything triphosphor T12 may be worth keeping!

Homebase 40W's but I may give him more extra although they seem to last a while. They are becoming less abundent so I stocked up on 2700k's but I may also order in 4000k's. 40W is the longest you can get through the post reasonably.

Ah of course the Homebase T12's, was thinking they'd be GE or something a bit more special!

Stock up on them whilst you can.
