The Neons in the starter are a standard component (Gas Discharge Tubes - GDTs, used mostly for surge protection of electronics). This means that we can easily make our own starters for those ignitors ! Or do the SON ones use real glow starters ?

Interesting, many thanks. I was wondering if these starter used 'off the shelf' components so could be made. SE600D starters are rare as rocking horse poop.

They exist in several voltage ratings, check the part number to get the exact ones. I'd expect something like 200..250V
