Enormous old fitting in Stanley Dock Tobacco Warehouse in Liverpool
Another pic that came up on facebook that is too good not to share! This is in the old brick tobacco warehouse in Liverpool, said to be the worlds largest brick warehouse. I remember passing it late at night sometimes in the late 80s and seeing cool white fluorescent light shining through dirty windows on the ground floor/basment and always imagined the light comming from a load of old BC fittings.

Cool what’s the story with them rob how did you get in there?

This isn't my pic I'm afraid, but its one of those places you know will have some gems like this. It's a listed building and there have been various attempts to re-purpose it but I think the shear size of the place is making it prohibitively, expensive. Fell out of use in the early 80s.

That’s a big old hulk of a fitting there. I bet it weighs a bit!

This will probably not be here anymore since the building that it is in has been gutted and is being converted into posh apartments. Fantastic building though!
