Nitecore P12GT
1 x Nitecore P12GT LED torch for 1 x 18650 lithium or 2 x CR123 cells.
Seriously bright little torch with 1000lm 25700cd maximum output and it has quite a long throw!
Has a Cree XP-L HI V3 LED unit and I'd say colour was about 5000k.

Ultra-low: 1lm 520h
Low: 55lm 28h
Medium: 280lm 5h15m
High: 1000lm 1h

A recent purchase and if you'll believe me, the delivery driver wanted to see photo ID with DOB before handing it over.
It is mega bright on high and gets quite warm!
It also has S.O.S and strobe functions.
If you press the mode button with the tailcap switch, the LED behind the mode button flashes the battery voltage and it also flashes when the battery level is below 50%.
I'll have to get a better 18650 cell for it I think.

Better than those fake LED torches on ebay that lie about the lumens. LED Lenser and Nitecore make good torches.

Would like to get some nice macro shots of the diode but I don’t have a macro lens anymore!

A phone camera would get a relatively good image I think. Not as good as professional equipment of course but it gets the job done.

I've got an LED Lenser P7 torch, packs a popwerful punch into a small package with good optics. Torches are one area where LEDs do excel and I'm happy to use them.

I've always said the same too Very Happy LED are much better than the old incandescent torches. Is yours the older P7 or the latest one. The new P7 is brighter than the old P7.2 I think.
