Aqua-Signal 1044 fluorescent bulkheads
The ubiquitous Aqua-Signal 1044 marine 2x18w switch start fluorescent. The bodies are either 316 stainless or zinc plated steel.
Used on ships all over the world and are very high quality luminaires... they have to be on ocean-going ships!
These are switch start too!
Several of many onboard the ROPAX ferry MS Stena Lagan

The modern equivalent will probably be LED now. The old fluorescent ones are far more reliable.

Just won an old one on eBay for £11.50... I bet they were slightly more than that new! Has 24v control gear but won’t be hard to re-gear.

Yeah, Glamox is one of Aqual Signal's brands.
