2000W Atlas incandescent GLS lamp
here is a very interesting lamp that I did not know any british manufacturer made (2Kw GLS lamps existed in Europe but until now there were no known british examples)

its a 2000W GLS lamp! they only list them from 15W to 1500W in Catalogs

so when I was made aware of this 2Kw beastie on ebay I just had to add it to the collection :)

its interesting too because those who are fortunate enough to own a NOS Atlas or Mazda etc 1500W Lamp know they come with a paper sleeve around the neck of the lamp with some basic installation instructions

however in very small print said paper sleeve has "1500/2000W" written on it as if to say "this is for 1500W and 2000W lamps" which was very interesting because as mentioned above no 2Kw GLS lamp was ever listed anywhere, so I did wonder if 2Kw lamps where made?

now I know they did indeed make them even if not officially listed in any catalogs

Thats not a lamp lol, its a very efficient heater that wastes some of it's energy as light... Laughing

yeah very much so! I do wonder what its efficiency is, sadly I dont know what its exact specs are so I cant calculate it, I know a 1.5Kw lamp is 27500 lumens so thats 18.3Lm/W not bad going for a GLS lamp! as efficiency always goes up with power IIRC so I think it would have slightly more Lm/w then a 1.5Kw lamp but by how much im not sure sadly
